Terms & Refund Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026

These terms explain how lessons with Arabic Classes (“we”, “us”, “our”) work, including booking, payment, rescheduling and our refund policy. By booking a lesson or a plan with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1 About these terms

Arabic Classes provides one-to-one online Qur'an, Tajweed, Hifz, Islamic studies and Arabic lessons for children and families in the UK. These terms are between us and the parent or guardian who books lessons for a child. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

2 Our lessons

Lessons are delivered one-to-one, live on Zoom, by qualified Al-Azhar teachers. You can choose 30, 45 or 60-minute lessons, and a female or male teacher. Lessons are designed for children aged 5–15, and adults are welcome on request. Your child's teacher keeps their camera on throughout each lesson.

3 Free trial

Every child starts with a free, no-obligation trial lesson. You do not need to enter any payment details to book it, and there is no obligation to continue after it.

4 Booking and payment

After the free trial, lessons are paid for in advance, as a package, through PayPal. A package is an agreed number of one-to-one lessons. Lessons are scheduled with you at times that suit your family, and your teacher confirms your regular slots. You buy your next package when you are ready to continue — there is no long-term contract.

5 Rescheduling and missed lessons

We know family life is busy, so rescheduling is easy. You can reschedule a lesson by letting us or your teacher know at least 2 hours before it is due to start, and we will find another time at no extra cost. If a lesson is missed without at least 2 hours' notice, it is counted as taken and cannot be refunded or rescheduled. If we ever need to cancel a lesson on our side, we will always reschedule it or credit it back to you.

6 Changing or stopping your lessons

There is no long contract and you are always in control. You can change your lesson length, frequency, or teacher, or stop altogether, at any time — simply let us know before you buy your next package. Any lessons already paid for in your current package remain available to you.

7 Our money-back promise

If you're not happy, we'll make it right. We are confident your child will love their lessons, so we offer a simple money-back promise on your most recent package: if you are not satisfied, contact us and we will refund your most recent payment in full — even if most of the lessons in that package have already been taken.

This promise applies to your most recent package only, not to earlier packages that have already been completed. To request a refund under this promise, please contact us at info@arabicclasses.net. We will process approved refunds through PayPal, usually within [5–10] working days.

8 What we provide

We will provide qualified teachers, one-to-one lessons at the agreed times, homework, and progress updates through our learning management system. We aim to deliver every lesson as scheduled, and where we cannot, we will reschedule or credit the lesson to you.

9 Your responsibilities

To get the most from lessons, we ask that you: provide a device with a working internet connection and the free Zoom app; help your child be ready and in a suitable, quiet place for their lesson; give at least 2 hours' notice if a lesson needs to be rescheduled; and ensure lessons are treated with respect. As these are children's lessons, we ask that a parent or guardian is contactable during lesson times.

10 Teachers

We match your child with a suitable teacher and aim to keep the same teacher throughout. Occasionally, if your teacher is unavailable (for example, due to illness), we may offer a suitable replacement teacher or reschedule the lesson, so your child's learning continues without interruption.

11 Conduct and safeguarding

We are committed to a safe, respectful learning environment for every child. Lessons are private and one-to-one, teachers keep their cameras on, and parents are welcome to be present or nearby at any time. We ask that everyone treats teachers and staff with courtesy. We reserve the right to end lessons, without refund, in cases of abusive or inappropriate behaviour.

12 Changes to fees and terms

We may update our fees or these terms from time to time. Any change to fees will only apply to packages you buy after the change, never to a package you have already paid for. When we make significant changes to these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page.

13 Our liability

We provide an educational service with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for issues outside our reasonable control, such as problems with your internet connection or device, or for any indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.

14 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also have rights under your local law.

15 Contact us

If you have any questions about these terms or a refund, please contact us — we're always happy to help.
